Vintage guitar articles

From April of 2016 to April of 2022, I worked as the Sales Manager and Tech Writer for a vintage guitar dealer in Central Texas called 31st Street Vintage Guitars. During my time there I wrote copy for over one thousand individual guitars, amplifiers, and effects pedals, all listed on the companies website and Reverb.com store (both of which are now defunct). In addition, I had the opportunity to write some fun articles on vintage gear, players, and maintainance issues related to guitars. Below is a selection of my work there.

Thoughts on the life of a musician in the midst of a pandemic.

Throughout the long and storied mythos of modern rock and pop music, there has

How to really care for your instrument

The electric guitar was by no means a new idea by 1950, but the solid body electric was quickly becoming the in-demand instrument, above hollow body electrics.

These awesome guitars are becoming quite the collector’s finds, so if you
find one, snag it and treasure it!

When you want a primo Fender, it’s gotta be pre-1966, and that chronological
difference means thousands of dollars for buyers. But why?

It is by now certified legend that four Brits would cross the Atlantic in 1964, and forever change the course of popular music.
